In 2016, VisioMatch emerged near Transylvania, an area renowned for its history and culture. The company's inception was marked by a unique blend of ambition and expertise aimed at challenging hackers and fraudsters. Our origins can be traced back to the Telize project, which was initially focused on audio and video stream analysis, employing a variety of techniques including statistical models, machine learning, and deep learning.

Our journey began with developing speech-to-text recognition models for the Romanian language using CMU Sphinx, focusing on both language and acoustic models. However, our exploration into audio fingerprinting, while initially separate from speech recognition, proved to be a pivotal moment. Telize, started in 2017, utilized audio fingerprinting to detect patterns in audio streams, particularly for monitoring TV commercials on Romania's leading channels.

As Telize evolved, VisioMatch took over, expanding its scope and capabilities. We shifted from audio fingerprinting to video fingerprinting, recognizing patterns in video streams with greater accuracy and scalability. This transition was marked by the development of an object detection pipeline, initially used for commercial classification, which later paved the way for applications in brand analysis in sports broadcasts.
